Radon Action Month: Ways to Protect Yourself

Radon cannot be seen, smelled or tasted, but it could be present at dangerous level in your home. Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer among nonsmokers in the United States. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Surgeon General recommend all Americans to protect themselves by testing their homes, schools, and other buildings for radon.

Here is what you can do during Radon Action Month this January:

  • Test your home
  • Attend an event in your community
  • Spread the word
  • Encourage others to learn about radon and test their homes
  • If you are searching to buy a new home, but a radon-resistant home

Exposure can be prevented. Let us help you test your home. If high radon level is detected in your home, you can take steps to fix the problem and protect you and your family.
